The Strand is a custom oceanfront residence on The Strand in Manhattan Beach, California — one of the most coveted addresses on the coast, where homes sit only feet apart directly above the sand.

Designed by KAA Design, the three-story board-formed concrete and cedar home is engineered to appear to float above the beach, an effect created by a continuous band of windows between the upper and lower floors that glows like a lantern at night.

ACA served as Owner's Representative and Project Manager, coordinating the design and construction team — to deliver a complex, highly detailed custom home on a constrained beachfront lot.
